nepal earthquake relief fundPokerStars have setup several ways for players to donate to Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund and help aid thousands of people who were affected by the disaster.

PokerStars have partnered with CARE International and will be donating the funds through their Helping Hands charity programme. CARE requires urgent support in order to provide more than 100,000 people with shelter, food and water.

Poker players can help raise funds by donating any amount using their poker bankroll, PokerStars will be donating the same amount that their players raise.

Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund

The Nepal Earthquake 2015 has left thousands of people in need of aid, PokerStars will no doubt be one of the biggest donors to the Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund.

PokerStars have reached out to their players to help bring relief to this disaster by funding affected family with basic necessities in their time of need.

Event the smallest amount can help aid a family in need, here is an example of how donations can help:

  • $5 – food for a family for one day
  • $10 – drinking water for a family
  • $225 – shelter for a family

Nepal Earthquake 2015

Players can make their donations directly through the Pokerstars lobby using their poker bankrolls. All monies raised will be matched by PokerStars and paid directly to CARE International to help aid the people of Nepal.

Nepal Fund Tournament

There are a no-play tournaments available in the lobby which will allow players to buy-in at amounts ranging from $1 up to $1,000. The Nepal Fund tournaments are just one of the ways for players to donate to the Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund.

Nepal Donations

Players can also donate by transferring funds via player to player transfers to the PokerStars player account – Nepal Fund.

To do this players must select Transfer to Player from the cashier in the lobby and enter the player ID and the amount they would like to donate.

Frequent Player Points

If you have accumulated Frequent Player Points on PokerStars you can also convert your FPPs into a donation through the PokerStars VIP Store.

Players can convert 1,200 FPPs into a $20 donation to the Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund. The VIP Store can be accessed through the cashier by clicking on VIP Store in the VIP Club section.

CARE International Website

Donations can also be made directly on the CARE International website if they do not have a PokerStars player account with funds of FFPs.

PokerStars cannot track and match the donations made through this method.
