2016 wsop main event championThe 2016 WSOP Main Event Champion will be determined today as the final two players battle it out heads-up for the most prestigious title in poker.

Cliff Josephy has been eliminated in third place on hand 182 earning $3,453,035, leaving Qui Nguyen and Gordon Vayo heads-up. Nguyen still maintains the chip leader position after Vayo was the leader at the start of the heads-up battle.

There is Eight million dollars guaranteed for first place prize for the 2016 WSOP Main Event winner who is Qui Nguyen.

2016 WSOP Main Event Champion

Qui Nguyen has just two WSOP cashes and this is the first time he has ever played the Main Event at the age of 39 years old.

27 year old Gordon Vayo has 27 WSOP cashes with no bracelets to his name, and is the more experienced player at the table with coaching from Tom Marchese.

Great sportsmanship shown by both players in this heads-up death-match to decide the next 2016 WSOP Main Event Champion.
