The 2015 WSOP Main Event Day 1C has had a record-breaking number of players registered in any of the starting flights in the WSOP Main Event history. There were an extra 3,963 players registering for the last starting day by the time registration had closed.

The total playing field amounted to 6,420 registered players in the World Series of Poker Main Event with the total prize pool adding up to $60,348,000.

Martin Jacobson, 2014 WSOP Main Event Champion started the day announcing “Shuffle Up and Deal!”

There were many notable players choosing to play on Day 1C, we’ve included a list of eliminations and chip counts of some of the players who survived the day. By the end of the day the 2015 WSOP Main Event Day 1C chipleader is John Gorsuch who will start Day 2 with the biggest stack.

Watch the WSOP Colossus Final Table 2015 which featured a record-breaking 22,374 buy-ins from 14,284 players that registered for the $565 buy-in event.

The final nine players that survived the huge playing field include: Cord Garcia, Brad McFarland, Ray Henson, Paul Lentz, Kenny Hallaert, Adi Prasetyo, Garry Simms, David Farber and Anthony Blanda.

WSOP Colossus Final Table 2015

More players have registered in the 2015 WSOP Main Event Day 1B, the second starting flight which had 1,716 players.

The 2014 WSOP Player of the Year, George Danzer was honored for his achievement with a banner in the Brasilia Room, he also started the day announcing “Shuffle Up and Deal”.

The last and Main Event of the World Series of Poker is currently underway at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas with a total of 2,457 players registered on the first two of the three starting days.

Hamid Feiz is the overall chipleader at the end of 2015 WSOP Main Event Day 1B which had a list of notifiable players either eliminated or surviving the day.

2015 WSOP Main Event Day 1B

The 2015 WSOP Main Event Day 1A kicked off today with a field of 741 players registered for the most popular event at the World Series of Poker.

The first starting day featured less players registering than last years event which had 771 players taking to the felt.

Chipleader of Day 1A is William Kakon plus a few notable players surviving the first day include: Jorryt van Hoof, Mike Matusow, Jonathan Duhamel, Abe Mosseri, Andy Black and Max Pescator.

The Main Event has three starting flights and there are still two more starting days before registration ends and the fields combine for Day 2.

2015 WSOP Main Event Day 1A

Poker fans can now vote online for the Poker Hall of Fame Nominees 2015, choose your favorite nominee and the reason they deserve the prestigious title. Nominees must meet the criteria to be count as a valid vote.

The top ten nominees from the online voting process will be given to the Governing Council for reviewing, the council will select one or two nominees to be inducted into the WSOP Poker Hall of Fame.

The chosen player/s will be inducted at a ceremony just before the 2015 WSOP Main Event final table starts in November.
