Ivey lasted till the final table in which he started out as the short stack when the game changed to 7 Card Stud and then RAZZ he managed to control the table and increased his chips from 100k up to a million and then finally won the event heads-up against Bill Chen.

Full Tilt Poker pro Phil Ivey is now tied 5th with Erik Seidel in all time WSOP bracelet winners with Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson both having earned 10 bracelets and Phil Hellmuth who still leads with 11 World Series of Poker bracelets to his name.

While on the final table Phil Ivey managed to knock out most of the players on the final table which included Albert Hahn, David Baker, Ken Aldridge, John Juanda and then finally Bill Chen in the heads-up stage of the HORSE tournament.

Phil Ivey won $329,840 in the WSOP event # 37, putting him up to more than 13 million in his total tournament career earnings, the most amount won by any player. The 33 year old is still the top of the all time money winners after ten years of playing live poker tournaments.

Although the amount won in Event 37 was not a huge figure it was the WSOP bracelet which Phil Ivey had his eye on, It’s believed he has probably made more money in prop bets.

Last year Phil Ivey finished off 7th place in the 2009 WSOP main event when he battled it out against a field of 6,494 players and earned $1,404,014 Phil Ivey’s AK got beat by Darvin Moon’s AQ when Moon hit a queen on the river card.

Many poker players rate Phil Ivey as the best poker player in the world and Ivey believes he will win at least 30 WSOP bracelets provided he stays healthy and keeps at the top of his game.
