bovada ignitionThe Bovada Ignition Sale came as a big surprise this week as the largest USA poker site has sold it’s brand to Ignition Casino.

From September 30 the brand formerly know as Bovada will no longer offer poker to it’s existing player database.

Players are urged to transfer their Bovada account to Ignition Casino if they wish to continue playing after the deadline date.

Ignition Casino currently offers similar bonuses and promotions that were available on Bovada. The change over seems more like a change in ownership and re-branding of the poker site.

The Ignition Casino website also has the same design and layout as Bovada excepting that the red theme has now been changed to orange.

Bovada Ignition Sale and USA Player Transfer

This week Bovada sold it’s business to Ignition Casino, which is owned by Lynton Limited, a poker site which regulated by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

Bovada is currently ranked as one of the top three poker sites in the World, positioned in third place underneath PokerStars and 888poker.

What makes Bovada different from the top two poker sites is their acceptance of USA players from states that don’t have regulation or prohibition of online poker. This is the biggest site where USA players continued to play poker online after Black Friday.

Player have be notified that Bovada will no longer be offering poker to it’s players from September 30, instead they may transfer their account to the new brand Ignition Casino.

The transfer in ownership has some benefits as Ignition Casino are offering a bigger signup bonus for new players along with some other perks for joining Ignition Poker.

Bovada Ignition Bodog

Bovada also owns Bodog Poker which shares the same player pool but only accepts players from Asia. Ignition Poker will continue to share the same player pool for both countries while it owns both brands.

Ignition Poker will continue to accepts players from the USA as well as the Asian market to ensure the success of the brand.

According to pokerscout stats the Bodog network has an average of 1,400 active daily players and have successfully tapped into the unregulated USA market for many years.

It’s unsure why the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group have sold it’s brand while business still seems to be on the increase.

Bovada were one of the poker sites that were shutdown by the FBI on Black Friday but seems to have run without issues ever since Bodog re-branded to Bovada.

The poker site changed their way of operating by making all players names anonymous and targeted recreational players in the USA.

The Bovada brand includes several other gaming services including: Casino, Sports and Horse Racing.
