Full Tilt Poker Servers arrive in Isle of ManThe new Full Tilt Poker has landed quite literally, server racks and equipment that make up the Full Tilt Poker servers were flown from Guernsey to the Isle of Man in anticipation of FullTilt’s 6th November relaunch date.

The server equipment was too large to fit onboard a regular aeroplane, so the new owners PokerStars opted to transport the 30 tons of hardware via a massive privately chartered Hercules Aircraft which touched down safely on Friday.

PokerStars head of corporate communications Eric Hollreiser mentioned in an interview with Isle of Man News – MTTV that all outstanding issues with the DOJ had been resolved and that PokerStars are committed to reopening Full Tilt Poker within the 90 day period ending on 6th November 2012. The equipment landing plays a significant role in ensuring that Full Tilt Poker opens in time.

Full Tilt Poker Reopening November 6th 2012

Full Tilt Poker are still based in Dublin, Ireland and will remain a separate company from PokerStars; however the new Full Tilt Poker will be licensed in the Isle of Man, where PokerStars is regulated and their head offices are based.

Full Tilt Poker Dublin offices host over 200 staff and they are still hiring in anticipation of what they expect will be an overall growth of online poker market once Full Till Poker reopens for both PokerStars and Full Tilt.

The regulator of choice will more than likely be the AGCC in Alderney as part of effective online poker regulation requires the infrastructure and servers to be maintained within the gaming regulators jurisdiction thereby providing optimum levels of protection for players.

The landing of Full Tilt Poker’s servers marks a huge step forward in the right direction to seeing player’s bankrolls being repaid worldwide after years of eagerly waiting a resolution, which at times never looked like would happen.

It may still be some time until we see Full Tilt Poker opening to the USA once again, they will probably only get to do so once poker legislation gets approved, but at least Americans will be repaid their outstanding bankrolls.

PokerStars have truly stepped up and shown they are dedicated towards poker players by acquiring the once number 2 brand albeit slightly in their favor to do so as their market share will rise substantially with the acquisition of FullTilt.

I for one hope that Full Tilt Poker once again becomes a huge brand with a decent chunk of the market with PokerStars at the helm things truly do look a lot safer.
