Big One for One Drop 2014The Big One for One Drop 2014 – Day 1 has come to an end with some interesting results at the 2014 World Series of Poker where 48 players started out on Day 1.

Poker pros have realized that this life-changing million dollar buy-in event could boost their career earnings as it did for Antonio Esfandiari in the 2012 Big One for One Drop.

Day 1 saw the eliminations of 11 players who will not get any returns on their million dollar investment into the poker tournament most notably: Vanessa Selbst, Brian Rast and Jason Mercier.

The great thing about this event is that it is a charity tournament with 11% of the buy-ins being donated to Guy Laliberté’s One Drop Organization.

The current top 5 positions include: chip leader Sam Trickett, Tom Hall, Phil Ivey, Daniel Colman and title defender Antonio Esfandiari.

Big One for One Drop 2014 – Day 1

Can Antonio Esfandiari defend his 2012 title and get back to back victory or will 2012 Big One runner-up Sam Trickett maintain his huge chip lead till the end.

Phil Ivey is also in good position and in form after just winning his 10th WSOP bracelet in event 50 of the 2014 World Series of Poker.

Unfortunately the action won’t be available on the 2014 WSOP Live Streaming schedule as ESPN have the exclusive broadcast. The 2014 Big One for One Drop will be released on ESPN with 2 hours of coverage shown every Tuesday between 29th July – 12 August.
