full tilt poker relaunchFull Tilt Poker may be reopening soon with hopes that Group Bernarde Tapie complete the deal and takeover the company on 16th March. FullTiltPoker could be back online as early as next month April 2012, players can finally expect to be re-payed with the GBT agreeing to refund all player outside of the US and the DOJ returning funds to US players.

Regaining players trust will be one of the hardest feats that the GBT will have to overcome since it’s been several months since the poker site has been offline. The silence and lack of communication with players has created much doubt in the poker community, but the recent news that the site may relaunch soon offers some hope.

Full Tilt Poker to Relaunch Soon?

If Full Tilt Poker relaunch in April under the ownership of Groupe Bernard Tapie, players owed funds to the amount of $300 million will definitely be satisfied when their funds are returned. Whether or players continue playing on the site is not guaranteed, there will no doubt be a mass of withdrawals taking place the same day it reopens.

Let’s hope that the Groupe Bernard Tapie can properly manage the new Full Tilt Poker and fix the current mess the previous owners have created. It’s still one of the best software available for online poker with some of the most advance features (FullTilt Poker mobile, Rush Poker) which will still be current and ahead of most poker sites in terms of technology despite being offline fore more than 8 months.

Rumors circulating suggest that GBT are recruiting staff to prepare for the launch and are trying to acquire their gaming license through Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) and Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

Should the GBT deal fall through a UK based company is interested in acquiring the Full Tilt Poker software for $50 million, not much news about whether or not players will be reimbursed if the software is purchased by the backup company.

Today is the deadline for the deal to be completed with the Groupe Bernard Tapie although the deal has already been extended in the past. Both Full Tilt Poker and GBT were confident that the deal would be completed by 16th March 2012, hopefully we can expect some great news today including a date, or whether or not FullTilt Poker will be back online anytime soon. Until now players have been left in the dark and by now probably accepted the fact that their bankrolls may never be returned to them.

Some sources estimate that the poker site would need at least four weeks to get Full Tilt Poker back online which would be exactly one year to the day (15th April 2012) that Black Friday took the poker world by storm, the only good thing that came out of it was that it exposed how badly the FullTiltPoker was run by the previous owners. But I strongly disagree with the way the DOJ seized players funds through online payment processors which affected players worldwide even in countries where online poker is legal. I have more faith in the GBT refunding players outside of the US than I do for the DOJ refunding US players, hopefully I can be proven wrong and every player worldwide who has been caught up in this mess are happy with the final outcome.
