The title 10 for 10 derives from the $10K buy-in being turned into a guaranteed $10 million first place prize in the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event.
The 2014 WSOP Main Event Champion was Swedish poker pro Martin Jacobson and the poker documentary features a behind the scenes look at how he prepared for the Final Table.

When you introduce yourself as a professional poker player, it’s kinda of something that holds you back, it’s not something I’ve been particularly proud of. The general opinion about poker is that it is a type of gambling, and it is but it’s so much more. Even though there is luck involved there’s still a huge portion of skill in the game and definitely favors the prepared ones.
Martin Jacobson survived a field of 6,683 players in the 2014 WSOP Main Event and was sitting in 8th place when the November Nine took a break of three months before returning for the final table. The 2014 WSOP November Nine final table players were: Jorryt van Hoof, Felix Stephensen, Mark Newhouse, Dan Sindelar, William Pappaconstantinou, Martin Jacobson, Bruno Politano, William Tonking and Andoni Larrabe.
There was alot on the line as the final table date drew nearer, only one player would be crowned the WSOP Main Event champion taking home a guaranteed $10,000,000 first place prize.
With just a few hours before the 2014 Main Event final table, Jacobson spent the time preparing with his friends watching videos and simulating the final table. Learning his opponents playing style, his friends were also his mentors as they where high-level players that have alot of experience.

In the beginning Martin Jacobson didn’t play that much he played a little bit online, with friends just not playing professionally. Cooking was his first passion, he went to high school with a focus on culinary, he was a bit fed up with the academic classes.
In 2008 he realized that he had an opportunity to at least try making it as a poker pro, his first live tournament was in Vegas, the Main Event. He had qualified online and had the option to take the cash value of the prize or play the Main Event.
After calling his mother asking for her advice as it was a whole lot of money for him but know how much he loved poker she suggested that he go and play it.
Martin Jacobson was asked if he cared more about the money or the title and replied that the bracelet meant more to him that the money.
It was his first big live tournament the Main Event, it didn’t go very well as he busted on the third hand, it’s not want you want. But in 2014 he was really motivated and had changed a few things and took it alot more seriously and was due for a big run.
