November Nine WSOPNovember Nine WSOP 2009 Updates – Only 27 players remain after day 7 after surviving a field of 6,494 players, they will all battle it out for the final table which only sees the Top 9 (November Nine) competing for the WSOP 2009 main event bracelet and title.

Phil Ivey is sitting in fifth place and still in the running for his 3rd bracelet this year, although chip leader Darvin Moon seems untouchable at this point sitting with more than 20 million chips going in to Day 8 of the World Series of Poker 2009.

The world series of poker 2009 main event will continue today until only the Top 9 remain. The November Nine will all make it to the WSOP 2009 final table between 7th – 10th November 2009.

The new WSOP 2009 payout structure will make this years Top 12 finishers instant millionaires. The Payout structure has been leveled similar to the way online poker tournaments payout instead of the top heavy payouts for the Top places. Players finishing in the money this year are guaranteed to earn more than ever before. First place will win between 12-15% of the total prize pool.

2009 Update Day 8 – November Nine WSOP

Day 8 comes to an end with only the November nine left standing Jordan Smith was just sent to the rail in 10th place holding pocket aces verses Darvin Moon’s pocket eights. Smith raised big with a four times bet pre-flop, the flop then revealed 8c 4d 2d Jordan Smith pushed all in and Darvin Moon called his bet. The Turn was 10h and river 5h. Ending Day 8 earlier than usual with the Top 9 players calling it a day before 11pm.
