PokerStars player Sebastian Ruthenberg won the first event in Season 5 which took place in Barcelona and Sebastian received €1,360,100 ($1,941,401) after knocking out 619 players. His stack was five times more that runner-up Fintan Gavin, who was taken down in minutes after Sebastian’s K-9 granted him the win in final hand. Also at final table was Season 4 EPT San Remo winner Jason Mercier – who almost won two EPT titles.
