2016 wsop main event updates2016 WSOP Main Event updates, the 47th Annual World Series of Poker broke records for the biggest attendance figures in it’s history.

After the conclusion of the three starting flights Day 1A-C there was a total of 6,737 registered players generating a prize pool of over $63 million. First place cash prize will be more than $8 million including a championship bracelet.

The Main Event playing fields have now combined as one field playing down to the Final Table, read more for info on the chipleaders, survivors and eliminations.

2016 WSOP Main Event Day 1A – July 9

Entries: 764 players

The first starting flight had 23 entries more that last years Main Event, there were 567 survivors going through to Day 2.

2016 WSOP Main Event Day 1B – July 10

Entries: 1,733 players

The second starting flight of the Main Event had 1,733 players register, 40 more entries than last year.

2016 WSOP Main Event Day 1C – July 11

Entries: 4,240 players

The final starting flight broke the record, being the largest starting field in history with 4,240 entries which was 277 more than the previous year.

2016 WSOP Main Event Day 2AB – July 12

The remaining players from Day 1A & Day 1B play separately for five levels of play, survivors return for Day 3 with all fields combined.

The surviving players from Day 2A/B will combine with those who make it through Wednesday’s Day 2C. The combined field will restart for Day 3 on July 14 at 11 a.m.


2016 WSOP Main Event Day 2C – July 13

The surviving players from Day 1 C, the largest playing field return for five levels of play. Those who survive Day 2C will join the combined field on Day 3.

Day 3 starts with all playing fields combining and the Main Event Champion is one of those players. The bubble is about to burst after it does all remaining players will cash in the Main Event.
