2018 wsop main event winner2018 WSOP Main Event Winner John Cynn has won the Main Event just 2 years after missing the final table in 2016 where he finished 11th in the Main Event.

First place prize this year was $8,800,000 and at least a million dollars guaranteed for each of the players on the Main Event final table.

Securing first place was not an easy feat as the final two players battled it for more than 10 hours of heads-up play, the longest final play in WSOP history.

There were 7,874 players registered for the WSOP Main Event, the second highest playing field since 2006 Word Series of Poker Main Event.

WSOP Main Event 2018 Final SixThe WSOP Main Event 2018 Final Six players have finished play for Day 8 of the World Series of Poker Main Event.

Still in the running for a 2nd Main Event bracelet in Joe Cada, 2009 WSOP Main Event champion.

The final table now consists of just six players battling it out for this year’s title: Michael Dyer, Nicolas Manion, John Cynn, John Cynn, Tony Miles, Joe Cada and Aram Zobian.

Chipleader Michael Dyer has most of the chips in play with more than double the stack of Nicolas Manion who is the 2nd place chipleader going into Day 9.

2018 WSOP Main Event Final TableThe 2018 WSOP Main Event Final Table has been reach with just nine players remaining in the World Series of Poker Main Event.

One of the final nine players, previously known as the November nine, is 2009 WSOP Main Event champion Joe Cada, who is looking to add another bracelet to his collection.

The field has narrowed down from 7,874 players down to the final table of just nine players: Nicolas Manion, Michael Dyer, Tony Miles, John Cynn, Alex Lynskey, Joe Cada, Aram Zobian, Artem Metalidi and Antoine Labat.

2018 wsop main event day 52018 WSOP Main Event Day 5 – the day started with 310 players battling it out for the highest paying positions with the minimum payout starting at $37,705.

Play was stopped for the day by the tournament director due to the lights going off in the Amazon room right at the end of the day.

There are just 109 players who will return for day six including notable players Shaun Deeb and Joe Cada.

Michael Dyer will start day six as the chipleader with over 12 million chips in his stack.

2018 WSOP Main Event Day 1-42018 WSOP Main Event Day 1-4 has been completed and we’re almost halfway through the biggest event on the poker calendar.

There are 310 players remaining of the 7,874 players that registered for the 2018 World Series of Poker Main Event.

The prize pool adds up to a whooping $74,015,600 for the $10,000 buy-in event which is still underway at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas.

The remaining 310 players will return for Day 5 of the Main Event on July 5 to play 5-6 levels starting from 11am.
