Guinness World Record Update

Full Tilt Poker failed at their attempt to host the biggest online poker tournament, in defense of their Guinness World Record title, PokerStars hosted a tournament earlier on the same day with a buy-in of only $1 compared to Full Tilt Poker $5 buy-in. PokerStars managed to get 65,000 players in their tournament breaking their own previous record.

Full Tilt Poker could have probably broken the record on the day had they not limited the tournament to only 50,000 which was full an hour and and half before the tournament began.

PokerStars are still the Number One poker room but Full Tilt Poker aren’t far off in second place, Full Tilt have just celebrated their 5th Birthday, PokerStars have been running for more than 8 years.
