2014 World Series of Poker Main Event Day 2The 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event Day 2 a/b/c have been completed with the surviving 1,864 players going through to Day 3.

The current chipleader is none other than the legendary Phil Ivey who has been dominating since 2014 WSOP Main Event Day 1 c where he finished the day in 2nd place.

Players from Day 2 a/b will be combined with the remaining players Day 2c for more action on Day 3 of the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Some big names have already been eliminated at this stage and have lost the opportunity to win the dream prize of $10 million guaranteed for first place prize.

The 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event Day 2 has been bagged and tagged with Phil Ivey owning the most chips going through to Day 3 of the Main Event.

Some dreams were ended abruptly with some notable players hitting the rail before the end of play these include bracelet winners Gus Hansen, Phil Hellmuth, Joe Cada, Vanessa Selbst, Greg Merson and Joe Hachem.

That said their are some poker pros still in the running for the $10 million guaranteed prize and title these include: Antonio Esfandiari, Erik Seidel and Daniel Negreanu.

2014 WSOP Main Event Day 2 a/b

About 700 players survived Day 2a/b which was a combination of Day 1 a/b players, Timothy Stansifer was the chipleader at the conclusion of 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event Day 2 a/b.

  2. Thomas Cannuli – 407,800
  3. Tony Ruberto – 402,700

Survived: Antonio Esfandiari, Abe Mosseri, Chris Moneymaker, Marvin Rettenmaier, Erik Seidel and Huck Seed.

Eliminated: Greg Merson, Mike Sexton, Michiel Brummelhuis, Vanessa Selbst and Annette Obrestad.

2014 WSOP Main Event Day 2 c

Day 2c featured the surviving 2,571 players from Day 1c which had 3,768 entrants, the largest field of registered players in the WSOP Main Event history. At the end of the day Phil Ivey was in top position in the chip counts with 505,500 chips on 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event Day 2 c.
